Sometimes you can travel because of work and last week I got to do just this! A week in Malmö for business. What are my takeaways of the city? Let me tell you.
Malmö is a homey city
Walking around the city when it’s dark and a bit over zero degrees makes me think of Christmas. I think this is a great and cosy city to visit during Christmas time.
Great view of Malmö from Clarion hotel
Even though I was in Malmö for business I had time to meet my friend Richi, who also studied in Turku. We went to the rooftop bar in Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live and the view was great. I really do recommend!

In Malmö for business
It was a week of learning and spending time together on different tasks to get to know my new colleagues in the Malmö office. And it was really great! We also got to experience Sherlocked, but instead of escaping a room we had to get in to a box and solve a mystery, which we did with 20 minutes to spare!
We also had a nice walk around the river during lunch. And without a jacket – in November! Amazing.
It is always the people that make the trip
Are you wondering about other things to see in Malmö? A landmark to see is the Turning Torso skyscraper. Walking around Malmö you are bound to see it at some point.
The week was intense but fun. And I want to go back to see even more of the city.
And of course a visit to Copenhagen as well, which is only around 30 minutes from Malmö by train. Definitely on the list to visit next year!
Any tips on what I should see on my next trip to Malmö? Let me know by leaving a comment!
